only crowd was treated to a great night of amateur
boxing at The White Rock Boxing Gym this past Saturday,
March 6, 2010. Palmetto Boxing hosted the 2010 South
Carolina Golden Gloves Tournament, which brought teams
from as far away as North Carolina and Georgia to
compete against some of the most talented boxers in the
United States. Our home town boxers did not disappoint
the many fans that came out to support them. Kelly
Anundson and De’Andre Robinson-Neal put on dominant
performances on their way to decisive victories against
their opponents. Daniel “DP” Powell won the State Golden
Gloves Championship by walk over win. Boxers who win the
State Golden Gloves Title will advance to the Regional
Tournament in Tennessee on April 7-9. A full report and
details of the boxers advancing will be posted in days
to come. We would like to send out a special thanks to
our supporters and sponsors who helped make the 2010

(SEPT 17) In talking to Chris, the
“Irish Ghost” Fitzpatrick in our recent interview, the clear impression
is of Chris’ total commitment to becoming a great fighter. When I think
back on this interview, these words have crystallized in my memory, “My
job is to fight”. Chris said these words with a tone of seriousness,
reflecting a strong, single-minded sense of purpose. He elaborated, “I
don’t smoke. I don’t drink. I don’t chase women. I don’t go to bars. I
just train, work, and fight”.

“The Irish Ghost” Fitzpatrick’s boxing career has taken

But it will be an altogether different type of heat he

For the first time since he moved to Columbia from Ohio
