We would like to thank all of our boxing fans and sponsors for
attending Palmetto Boxing's event that was held at The Jamil Temple.
Our local professional Marcus Brooks defeated Atlanta Georgia's Jean
Michael by TKO. Marcus Brooks’ next bout will be held in Las Vegas
at The Thomas & Mack Center by Top Rank Promotions and will be
televised on pay per view. This will be a fight to watch. We hope
you can all tune in for the excitement.
Palmetto Boxing is scheduling to be held in Columbia in the near
future. Please continue to check our web site @
www.whiterockboxing.com for the date and other information. Johnny
Brooks is scheduled to fight put on by Jim Kelly Promotions in a
bout to be held on July 27th at The Plex. He had also fought in a
Light Weight Division bout held on June 24th by Palmetto Boxing and
defeated Derrick Buchannon , a very tough opponent from Florida in a
4th round decision. Both of the Brooks brothers built up their wide
fan base by fighting in bouts held at The White Rock Boxing Gym a
number of times. The continued support of our local sponsors and
fans is allowing the sport of boxing in SC to grow.
