Ringside World Championships

Amateur boxers Angel
Gladey, De’Andre Robinson-Neal, Jeffrey Steen and Daniel Locklear
represented Whiterock Boxing, Palmetto Boxing, and the State of
South Carolina in the largest amateur boxing contest in the world -
The Ringside World Championships. The tournament was held August
1-5, 2007 in Kansas City, Missouri. Six rings were set up to
accommodate 300 bouts a day for five days. Coach Dominic
Robinson-Neal accompanied the team as head coach.
The team competed with over 1450 boxers from France, Ireland, Japan,
Puerto Rico, Mexico, Switzerland, Hawaii, Europe, Canada and the
U.S. A
special thanks to Billy Stanick, Sr., Sean Fink, Shelby Gross,
Shelly Nunez and Midlands Honda for their generous donations in
support of these young athletes.
