Witherspoon Defends Title at
the Plex Moves to 13-0
(OCT 28) Heavyweight sensation Moultrie Witherspoon put on another
spectacular performance to retain his CBO Heavyweight Title over the
tough and game Ryan Shay. Witherspoon mounted a brutal body attack
in the first round that caused Shay to tuck his elbows deep into his
sides protecting him from the torturous body shots. Stiff jabs and
thundering right hands sealed the deal for Witherspoon as he dropped
Shay twice before the fight was waived off by Ref. Mark Campbell at
1:54 of Round 2. Witherspoon moves to 13-0 with the win and another
step closer to his dream of becoming Heavyweight Champion of the
World. Promoter Jim Kelley of Jim Kelley Promotions hosts
Professional Boxing on the last Thursday of every month at the Plex
in Charleston, SC.
