DeAundre Pettus Wins a Six-Round Decision
over Anthony Hannah at the Jamil Shrine Temple September 4th!
(SEPT 6) On Friday night, September 4, 2021, at the
Jamil Shrine Temple, in Columbia, South Carolina, on a Stokes Promotions card,
DeAundre Pettus, 25 years old, of Columbia, was featured in the main event.
Highlight of the Pettus vs. Hannah bout
Pettus faced Anthony Hannah, in a six-round super
welterweight bout. Pettus moved his record to 5-0-0 (2KO), when he won a
six-round unanimous decision over Hannah, now 3-2 (2KO), of Augusta, Georgia.
The final judges scores were 59-55, 59-55, and 58-56. Pettus won the Universal
Boxing Council Atlantic championship.
Pettus, who trains at the White Rock Boxing and is managed by Billy Stanick And
after he saw pettus fight this night he said the following: “I thought what made
the fight good is that he fought an opponent with a good boxing record,, and he
was in tremendous shape, and he showed his boxing skills in the ring.”
”When Hannah hit him in the body, Pettus was in such good condition that when
Hannah delivered body shots, it looked like he was hitting a piece of leather.
His trainer, Sean Fink did an unbelievable job in training Pettus. Fink has been
training Pettus since he won the White Rock Golden Gloves in 2017,” said Stanick.
Stanick said that he went from training and promoting fighters, to managing
them. He added, “When you manage fighters, you need a good trainer. I have a
great one in Sean Fink. He makes it easy on me.”
