Dr. Anne Edwards going into the CBHOF as
"Contributor of the Year" April 22nd
(MAR 13, 2022) In some exciting news about the Carolinas
Boxing Hall of Fame (CBHOF) Dr. Anne Edwards is set to be honored on April 22nd
as "Contributor of the Year".
Billy Stanick, President of the White Rock Hall of Fame and CBHOF board member
recalls the first time he met Dr. Edwards.
In the above photo, Stanick said, "My boxing coach James Gallmon being examined
by Doctor Anne Edwards' at Hurricane Boxing in Charleston. This was when I first
met Doctor Edward's. She worked the physicals on our Golden Glove fights."

Dr. Anne Edwards is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, that
specializes in cosmetic, plastic and reconstructive surgery in Charleston, South
Carolina, and has been in practice over 30 years. Dr. Edwards is a graduated
from South Carolina U, College of Medicine in 1986.
In 2015, when Dr. Edwards was in attendance at the Hurricane Boxing Show
promoted by Mike Golemis, he had a "no show" on the doctor that was to be the
attending Ringside physician. Mike went up to Dr. Edwards saying to her, "You
are a doctor, can you help me?" She did not hesitate, and volunteered to fill in
that night and did a great job.
That show was the beginning for Dr. Edwards who began working many of the boxing
events throughout the years as the attending Ringside Physician.
